Oregon Avenue Rehabilitation

Many issues in DC have considerable if not comparable impact on Rollingwood residents.  One such issue is the proposed rehabilitation of Oregon Avenue.  Even a cursory look at the potholes, dilapidated bridges, and poor stormwater management shows that Oregon Avenue is in very poor condition.  Accordingly, the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are proposing rehabilitation of the 1.7-mile segment of Oregon Avenue, NW, between Military Road and Western Avenue.  Construction could begin next year.  Please click the photo to the left to learn more about the project and how you can get involved.  In addition to improving the road and bridges, planners are considering a sidewalk and bicycle amenities
