Purple Line Meeting – March 14

On March 14th, MTA will hold a community meeting on the Purple Line’s impact on the Lyttonnsville area.  The planned station at Lyttonsvile is close to Rollingwood.  It will have impacts on the Rosemary Hills Primary School community and users of the Capital Crescent Trail.

At this meeting the MTA will present an overview of the current plans for the proposed Lyttonsville station, give updates since the previous meeting in the area, explain what light rail stations are like, and lead detailed discussions about station issues such as community access. There will also be an update on the Lyttonsville Yard & Shop. The Purple Line Study team will present this information, and then have discussions about the station and the surrounding area.
