CC@H MAY PROGRAMS ADDRESS BOTH BODY AND SOUL
From Chevy Chase at Home . . .
As we prepare to face another potentially scorching summer, it’s definitely time to get out the sunscreen and pay attention to your skin. On the evening of Thursday, May 9, Maral K. Skelsey, M.D. , a dermatological surgeon and professor of dermatology at Georgetown University Medical Center, will present a program on “Lumps and Bumps on Your Skin: What and What Not to be Concerned About”. Come to the Chevy Chase Village Hall at 7:30 P.M. to hear this informative presentation by an expert in the field of dermatology.
Also on May 9, the monthly Brunch Bunch will get together at the Olympia Coffee Shoppe on Brookville Road from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. Buy a cup or coffee or even a complete breakfast and pull up a chair at the CC@ H table and join the conversation.
The M&M on May 21 will focus on Dreams. Sandy Geller, Jungian Analyst, Board Certified Art Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor, will lead a discussion on “What We Can Learn From Our Dreams As We Grow Older: Carl Jung’s Thoughts on Aging”. This should be fascinating and fun, so plan to join us–and perhaps bring a dream of your own. The program runs from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Chevy Chase Village Hall, and dreamy refreshments will be served!
If you would like to become a CC@ H volunteer, our next volunteer training will take place on May 16. For details please call the office at 301-657-3115 or visit www.chevychaseathome.org.
