KIDS

KAYDEE PUPPETS–Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m., Kaydee Puppets will perform Sleeping Beauty.  A fun “now” approach to fairytales.  For children of all ages.

*FRED BOWEN sports author– Saturday, June 22 at 1:00 p.m., Author talk with FRED BOWEN, writer of an action-packed sports fiction series for kids.  His latest book is Perfect Game about a boy who wants to be a perfect pitcher.  For kids 8-12, families.

*ON THE BALL SPINNY–Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 a.m.—with Spinny Johnson, a program featuring fun and amazing basketball skills and teaching the importance of respect, education, and perseverance.  Kindergarten, elementary school age, and up.

ADULTS

*FOREIGN FILM SERIES–Saturday, June 1 at 1:00 p.m., LA BELLE et LA BETE (Beauty and the Beast).  Written and directed by Jean Cocteau.  Originally released in 1946.

*NON-FICTION BOOK GROUP–Wednesday, June 12 at 2:30 p.m.  The group will discuss Coincidences, Chaos, and All That Math Jazz; Making Light of Weighty Ideas by Edward Burger and Michael Starbird.

*JEFFERSON CAFÉ–Friday, June 21 at 10:30 a.m.  The group will discuss “Do We Still Segregate Students?” by Julie Halpert, from Pacific Standard, Sept./Oct.2012.  Article available at the information desk.

*FICTION BOOK GROUP–Wednesday, June 26 at 2:30 p.m.  The group will discuss Look at Me by Anita Brookner.
