RCA Picnic a Huge Success!

On Sunday, September 22nd, more than 200 Rollingwood neighbors enjoyed a fun evening of fellowship, great food, and entertainment at RCA’s annual “Picnic in the Park.”  This year’s community gathering — held at Meadowbrook Park Pavilion — set a new attendance record.

Neighbors filled the picnic tables under the pavilion on a beautiful Sunday evening.

Many Rollingwood residents also gathered at the indoor tables to enjoy live music and the dinner buffet.

Neighbors filled the picnic tables under the outdoor pavilion and many others took over the community house to enjoy live music performed by “Colonel Josh and the Honky Tonk Heroes.”  Beautifully crisp September weather contributed to everyone’s enjoyment.  Click here for more photos!

RCA provided drinks, bratwurst, hamburgers, and hot dogs, while neighbors shared other main courses, side dishes, and desserts.  After attacking the buffet line, countless children of all ages fanned out across the ballfields for fun and games.

We were also very pleased to enjoy the company of several local elected officials who joined the party — Montgomery County At-Large Councilmember Nancy Floreen and District 18 Delegates Al Carr and Jeff  Waldstreicher.  Neighbors appreciated the opportunity to spend some quality time with our representatives.

A very special thank you to the picnic committee — RCA Board members Phil Sturm, Cathy Jones, and Susan Merewitz.  Thank you as well to your spouses and to all who helped with many tasks to make this annual event possible.
