  1. Fred, has anything happened since I last inquired about the Rollingwood signs.?
What is causing the delay, which is now becoming almost, but not quite, absurd. Will the signs be erected this year? I think RCA members deserve a statement which tells us the reason(s) for the continued delay, what we are doing about them and when the signs are likely to be in place.

  2. Hi David- Thanks for your inquiry. Can’t disagree with your sentiments regarding how long this is taking. We are in the midst of preparing permit applications for three locations — a main sign on the Leland Triangle, and smaller signs on posts at Woodbine and Beach, and Wyndale and Beach. This involves preparing site diagrams, photos, an aerial photograph, and diagram of the sign. Five sets for each permit. There is also a requirement that adjacent neighbors be notified. The permit goes to the County. Assuming no other agencies get involved, the Sign Review Board will review as well. I guess it’s always wise to hope for the best and plan for the worst, but my hope is to have these signs up by the spring. I am dreaming of the day when we have a community event formally dedicating the signs. I will post additional details on the website upon completion of the permit applications. Thanks for your patience. -Fritz
