Snow Removal Update

Montgomery County’s Bethesda Regional Services Center provides a snow removal update:

County transportation crews have begun working on the 4,000 lane miles of residential streets to make them all “passable”; i.e., they may still have a thin layer of snow or ice after plowing and treating. Crews will continue to monitor all neighborhood street conditions as melting and refreezing occurs.

You can track the crews’ progress and get information on residential plow operations on the county’s storm operations map. You also can request additional service or report missed streets through that map portal.
Travel countywide will continue to be hazardous due to the forecast of gusting winds, resulting in “blow over” of treated roads. Use extreme caution when driving.

See the MCDOT “Storm Update” news release for related information.
