Spring Literary Luncheon Series at Strathmore Mansion

The next round of the Friends of the Library’s 26th annual literary luncheon series begins on March 20. This lecture and lunch series is presented with financial support from the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County.

On March 20, author and BBC correspondent Kim Ghattas will discuss her latest book, The Secretary: A Journey with Hillary Clinton from Beirut to the Heart of American Power, as well as her experiences as an international journalist.

On April 17, journalist Marvin Kalb will discuss his new book, Road to War: Presidential Commitments Honored and Betrayed, an analysis of how easy it is for an American president to go to war and how hard it is to end one.

This is a popular series, so it’s not too early to reserve a space now. The cost varies, depending on whether you come just for the discussion or also have lunch, and whether you are a member of Friends of the Library.
