From Chevy Chase at Home
Chevy Chase at Home provides the following message . . .
A therapeutic massage offers more than pampering
A full-body massage can give you a lot more than “a-a-a-h-h, that feels good.” It does get the kinks out, but that’s only one side of the story. Find out how therapeutic massage as medicine can improve our well-being and help us stay healthy and independent as we get older, at Chevy Chase At Home’s program on Tuesday, April 1, 2-4 p.m. at the CCVillage Hall, 5906 Connecticut Ave. Join us for this lively and interactive presentation by a Licensed Massage Therapist from Family & Nursing Care, a locally-owned home care agency. All attendees will get a hands-on seated massage, too.
Learn how therapeutic massage can also be our medicine. Stress relief, relaxation, improved circulation, and pain relief are only some of the benefits. Therapeutic massage can provide symptomatic relief for many common conditions that occur with age, such as arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.
Non-members of CC@ H are welcome. Bring a friend, and you’ll both meet new people and enjoy refreshments before and after. There’s plenty of street parking behind the CCV Hall. As always, members who need a ride should call 301-657-3115
