On Thursday, 02/05/15 at 10:30 AM Storytime Extenders: First Thursday Craft. Come to the Chevy Chase Library on Thursday mornings from 10:30 am to 11:30 am to extend storytime learning. In addition to our regular STEM activities, we’ll have an art activity just right for toddlers and preschoolers. No registration needed.

On Friday, 02/06/15 at 3:30 PM Build and Learn with Legos: Come to the Chevy Chase Library each Friday between 3:30 and 5:30 pm to build with Legos. This program is for elementary age children with an adult. Please leave your Legos at home.

On Saturday, 02/07/15 at 10:00 AM Downloading E-Books : MCPL TAG teens will offer one-on-one assistance for people who would like help downloading e-books. Bring your device and drop in to talk with a trained volunteer. No registration required. Volunteers will be available between 10 am and noon near the Information Desk.

On Saturday, 02/07/15 at 10:30 AM American Embassy of Dance: Painted Rhythms uses African dancing, tap dancing and live percussion to tell a story about three artists who are preparing for a performance. Fun for all.

On Saturday, 02/07/15 at 2:00 PM Foreign Film Series: Join us for screenings of a variety of films from around the world on the first Saturday of each month. All movies have English subtitles. Screenings will begin at 2:00 p.m. Amour (French and English; made in Austria).

Discuss the artistic climate in the USA at the time and the way in which European art brought about change.
