Gateway Signs Dedicated, Another Great Picnic in the Park
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the Leland Triangle on Sunday, September 27th, to officially dedicate Rollingwood’s new community signs. An energetic group of neighbors and RCA board members gathered to celebrate this historic occasion. We were also joined by special guests from the Maryland General Assembly, Delegates Ana Sol Gutierrez and Al Carr.
Following the sign dedication, neighbors convened at Meadowbrook pavilion for RCA’s annual Picnic in the Park. A wonderful afternoon and evening was had by all.
RCA also celebrated the many contributions of Cathy Jones. Cathy served on RCA’s board for many years, including as vice president and co-chair of the picnic committee. Together with her husband Tom and daughter Dawn, Cathy was a key force behind the annual picnic since its inception. Cathy and Tom recently downsized and moved to the Rockville area. Below, Fritz Hirst, RCA president, presents Cathy with a special gift.
