On Friday, 06/03, 6/10, 6/17 at 3:30 PM Lego Play: Drop in for an open session of Lego play on Fridays between 3:30 and 5:00 pm. Elementary age with an adult. We will provide the Legos and space, you provide the imagination. No registration needed….

On Saturday, 06/04/16 at 10:30 AM Lieutenant Flipper’s Trial – The Play: One-act play dramatizes the 1881 court martial of Lieutenant Henry O. Flipper, first African American graduate from the U S Military Academy at West Point. The play draws the audience into the controversy — was Lt. Flipper treated fairly before, during and after the trial? Lt. Flipper was commissioned as a U S Army officer and served with distinction in one of the original Buffalo Soldier regiments. This year is the sesquicentennial anniversary of the creation of the Buffalo Soldiers
On Saturday, 06/04/16 at 2:00 PM Foreign Film Series: Join us for screenings of a variety of films from around the world on the first Saturday of each month, unless otherwise indicated. All movies have English subtitles. Screenings will begin at 2:00 p.m. 12 (Russian and Chechen; made in Russia).

On Friday, 06/17/16 at 10:30 AM Jefferson Café: This month’s article is “How Can We Treat the Seriously Mentally Ill –before tragedy occurs, instead of after” by Jeneen Interlandi –Jan/Feb 2016 PSMag.com. We hope everyone will feel comfortable participating. The group is fairly small so that everyone can see and hear everyone else while seated around a table. Copies of the articles to be discussed will be available without charge on the holds shelf at the library.
On Tuesday, 06/21/16 at 10:30 AM Maryland Zoo Presents Waddle and Wiggle: Get up and move around in this program about animals and the way they move. Ages 4 to 5. Registration required and limited to 35 participants. Tickets will be given out at the information desk 30 minutes before the program. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library Montgomery County, Inc.
