Public hearing on Purple Line Environmental Impact

There will be a public hearing on the potential environmental impact of the proposed Bethesda-New Carrollton Purple Line on October 16, 7 pm, in Silver Spring at the Civic Building auditorium, 1 Veterans Place. Anyone wanting to comment on the project, this is your chance.

Before the hearing begins, there will be a poster session from 6 to 7 pm, when the public can review exhibits and ask general questions of the Maryland Transit Administration’s representatives.

The formal hearing will begin with agency statements at 7, followed by public testimony. Note that a time limit of three minutes per speaker may be set, depending on the number of speakers, to ensure that all interested parties have an opportunity to voice their views.  The public hearings will be recorded and transcribed.
