Speed Camera Installed on East-West Highway

The Town is pleased to announce that the Montgomery County Police Department has installed a new speed camera on East West Highway.  The camera was placed in response to safety concerns raised by the Town related to excessive eastbound vehicular speeds near the pedestrian crosswalk at Maple Avenue.  The camera is one of Montgomery County’s mobile camera units which are rotated through a number of locations throughout the county where speeding is prevalent.  We are hopeful that the new speed camera will create a safer environment for pedestrians and drivers alike.
